EPA 608 Type III Practice Test: Low-Pressure Chillers
Type III covers low-pressure appliances, mostly centrifugal chillers using refrigerants such as R-123. These systems run below atmospheric pressure, so leaks pull air in. Expect questions on leak testing, recovery, recharging and evacuation levels.
25 questions · 70% to pass
Instant feedback, a plain-English explanation and the rule reference after every answer. Questions and answer order shuffle on every attempt.
How This Practice Test Works
- Each attempt draws 25 questions from our pool and shuffles the answer order.
- You see whether you were right straight away, with an explanation and the regulation or EPA topic behind the answer.
- The pass mark is 70% (18 of 25), the same as the closed-book certification test under Appendix D of 40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F.
- Nothing is saved and there is no sign-up.
These are original questions written from the regulation. They are not questions from the real exam. Study the topics before you test: start with the EPA 608 Leak Repair Rules, then read Refrigerant Types, Classes and A2L Safety.
